Nina was always loving and giving to her family and her community. Over the years she was involved with a variety of community groups and projects. For most of her adult years she was active at the Agassiz United Church and was a longtime member of the UCW Fireside Unit.

Nina was never daunted by hard work and diligently completed every undertaking. She and Wes were succesful partners in several businesses including Agassiz Builders’ Supply and Upper Valley Holdings. Nina enjoyed the fine arts, bridge, traveling, gardening, flowers, baking and canning, especially everything Wes brought in from the garden. She also enjoyed entertaining and was a gracious hostess. Nina valued her many friendships, some of which spanned more than seven decades. Despite her numerous responsibilities, Nina always put her family first. She loved her immediate and extended family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Should family and friends so desire donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. Yukon.
