BURDEN; Noreen Mae (Nicki)
A beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, Great Nana, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Noreen Mae (Nicki) Burden passed away suddenly, yet peacefully, Friday, September 2nd, 2016. Born on August 10th, 1944 in Vancouver, BC, Nicki was the third of seven daughters born to Geoffrey and Louise Thompson. Nicki was married in 1965 to Dennis Wayne (Bill) Burden and they welcomed two wonderful children into their family: Carolyn Mae (1971) and Ryan Wayne (1973). Nicki had a sunny and kind nature that earned her many friends. She had a great imagination and delighted everyone in the family with stories and songs. Her home was always warm and welcoming, just as she was. Nicki was predeceased by her parents, her infant twin sisters, Barbara and Sally and her sister, Susan. She is survived by her husband Bill, her daughter, Carolyn (Kevin), her son, Ryan (Michelle) and her sisters, Anne (Leroy) Burden, Donna Goett, and Judy (Dave) Rickard. She is also remembered by her grandchildren, Alyssa (Kevin) Tessa (Willie), Courtney, Zoe and Noah and also by her great-grandchild, Mason, along with nieces and nephews. Nicki's legacy is the love and kindness she shared so generously. We grieve her loss but we know she'll live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her. Rest in peace, until we meet again. There will be a service and reception at the All Saints Anglican Church in Agassiz on September 17th, 2016 at 12pm.
