HARMSEN, Pieter (Ben). Pieter passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital on January 2, 2014. Ben was born in Tegal, Indonesia on May 24, 1928. The family later moved to Holland and immigrated to Canada in the forty's. Ben was a long time resident of Agassiz and was employed by Agassiz Research Station as Grain's Technician for many years. Ben loved his flower garden as well as his vegetable garden which he thoroughly enjoyed. Ben is survived by his dearest long time partner Joanne Treen, sister Betty and brother Fred as well as many loving nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sisters Judy, Maria and brother Carl. Ben will be sadly missed.
Celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
