Gibbard, Robert Edward

Passed away suddenly at home in Agassiz, March 8, 2005. Born in 1935 in Mission, B.C. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, sons David (Deneen) and Philip (Lisa), daughter, Laurel Pickles (Alan), sisters Rita Marriott and Shirley Tolmie, grandchildren Ryan, Ashley, Rebecca, Christian, Brandon, and Jared. He was predeceased by parents Tillie and David Gibbard, brothers Julius and Albert.

Bob grew up and attended school in Mission. He had a career in logging and worked as the Dry Land Sort Foreman at many locations - Ruby Creek, Silver River, Jarvis Inlet, Campbell River, Hope and Honeymoon Bay. He took early retirement while living in Lake Cowichan.

Bob lived for many years in Agassiz before moving to Vancouver Island. He retired back to Agassiz in 2002. Bob was a very creative person with hobbies in woodworking, home and garden renovations. He loved a challenge and his skills were always in demand.

A Celebration of Bob's life was held on Sunday, March 13, 2005 at 2:00pm from the Kent-Harrison Senior Social Society (The Friendship House) on 7272 Morrow Road in Agassiz, B.C. with Reverend Reg Brown officiating.

He will be sadly missed by friends and

family.
