Bob was born in Burnaby and lived most of his life in the Chilliwack area. He worked for the Chilliwack School District for many years and then the Correctional Service of Canada until he retired in 2010.
Bob leaves to mourn his wife Kim, children Rob (Tonia), Julie (Ray), Jody, and Jessica. Two step-children Danielle (Dylan), and Justin. Ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His sister Ina (Frank), in-laws, and his faithful dog Stella.
Bob loved his family first and foremost, his dog who was his daily companion, his friends, his yard, and camping.
Bob was an exceptional man, a true gentleman and all those that knew him had a 'Bob' story to tell. He will be forever loved and missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation to the Chilliwack Hospice Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Galbraith and the Abbotsford Cancer Centre, Dr. Insanally and his wonderful staff and Dr. Chris and her staff at Cascade Hospice, every one of you fought for him and we will always be immensely grateful for that.
