July 16, 1933 - July 17, 2018
McGowan, Ronald (Ron) Norman of Harrison Hot Springs, born July 16,1933, at West Kildonan, Manitoba, passed away July 17, 2018, at St. Vincent's: Langara Gardens care home in Vancouver peacefully in his sleep.
Ron was a member of the Kinsmen, Lions, an avid sailor and long-time member of the Harrison Yacht club. He was also very active in many community organizations, including HHS Canada Day celebrations and the "Building Bridges" initiative. His quick wit and charming gentlemanly style endeared him to all who met him.
Predeceased by Violet (Vi) his loving wife of 50 years and sadly missed by his, sons Barry and John (Jack) and wife Julie; daughter Jasmine (JJ); grandsons Patrick, Peter and Brandon; granddaughters Jennifer and Chelsea; great-grandchildren Makayla and Everett.
Memorial service was held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church Agassiz, Saturday, July 21 at 11:00 AM. Reception to follow next door at the Royal Canadian Legion "Branch 32", Agassiz. In lieu of flowers, donations the Alzheimer's and Dementia Society would be appreciated.
