Evans, Victor Allen

Victor Allen Evans passed away

suddenly and peacefully at home in Harrison Mills, B.C., on May 13, 2006.

Vic was born in Chilliwack, B.C. May 5, 1929, to parents Gordon H. Evans and nee, Edna Van Meter, and was raised on the farm of his grandfather, pioneer J. Allen Evans.

Vic worked on the family farm and in early 1950’s, spent three years in the Canadian Army. He later was employed by Canadian Forest Products, Harrison Mills, and moved to the area in mid-1970’s, residing on Morris Valley Road.

Predeceased by brothers, John, in 1996 and Owen “Bud” in 2000.

Vic is survived by his wife, Laura; daughter Gail Hoogendoorn (Tom); and son, Grant Evans (Anne); sister Millie Hall; and brother Eugene (Muriel).

Vic is also survived by Grandchildren Ashley and Brandon Hoogendoorn and step-grandchildren Susan Spaeti, Alana Baumfield and Karina Broughall.

Graveside service was held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Chilliwack, at 1:00pm, Thursday, May 18, 2006. A tea was held at Wells Brooke Clubhouse, Chilliwack.
