Development paves way to cheaper taxes

Kingma's plan could bring in more taxpaying citizens in Harrison Hot Springs

The previous two Councils were criticised for a lack of growth and non- development within the village. Now this Council is progressing with Mr. Kingma's revised and greatly reduced development plans along the Hot Springs Road, they have been criticised by a small minded minority for considering this development. The village needs growth from new residents to support and sustain the existing businesses, services and contribute towards village taxes which are needed to maintain our deteriorating infrastructure (roads, sewer line, street lighting etc). Residents of this village need to ask themselves one question do I wish Harrison to be a vibrant resort village or a retirement home with higher taxes, fewer services because they will become unaffordable on the current level of taxes that are being charged currently.
