LETTER: Bigger issues to focus on

"There are thousands of pressing issues that require the attention of parliamentarians and changing our National Anthem is not one of them."

Last week, Member of Parliament for Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon, Jati Sidhu, voted to change Canada’s National Anthem. He also voted against recognizing ISIS’ atrocities as genocide and creating a federal organ donor registry to save lives across Canada.

There are thousands of pressing issues that require the attention of parliamentarians and changing our National Anthem is not one of them. This is not the type of representation our residents hoped for.
