The Agassiz Fire Department members have continued their fundraising efforts again this summer, hosting the 17th annual golf tournament.
Businesses and golfers came together at the Harrison Resort Golf Course, raising more than $7,300 in support of the RCMP Victim Assistance Program, Honor House in New Westminster, BC Children’s Hospital, Red Cross and the Agassiz Fire Department Bursary Fund.
“Thanks for your support of our fire department and the communities we live in,” said Fire Chief Wayne Dyer when making the announcement of the funds raised.
Congratulations to the winning team of Erin Thornton, Mah Siepmann, Travis Ody and Bryan Gourlie and to the second-place team of Landyn Humney, Cody Armstrong, Dustin Hurly and Dustin Meyer.
The third-place team included Ryan Schneeberger, David Bryant, Kevin Rollheiser and Caden Guthrie. Chris Wilson, Deanna Wilson, Dwight Schneider and Colton Ozzard were recognized as the Most Honest Team.
Closest to the Pin winners were Peter Norman, Dwayne Farlin, Landyn Humney, Kevin Rollheiser, Arlene Johnson, Erin Thornton and Larrie Hicks.
Longest Drive went to Deanna Johnson, Tia Dyer, Norm Sperling and Mah Seipmann. The Putting Contest was won by Lance Jarvis and second place went to Tammy Mortmore.
