Fust, an 18-year-old BCHL rookie, is one of 18 forwards in the mix. Another BCHLer, Penticton’s Stefano Bottini is also looking to lock down a spot. Their competition includes major junior players Attilio Biasca (Halifax Mooseheads, QMJHL), Keanu Derungs (Victoria Royals, WHL) and Simon Knak (Portland Winterhawks, WHL) along with a group of juniors playing in Europe.

Fust is a dual-citizen of Canada and Switzerland, and his page lists Reverolle as his home.

He has one goal and one assist in BCHL ‘extended training camp’ action so far.

The winger has 22 games of international experience with Swiss national teams, including three games with the U20 team this season. He collected two goals and an assist in those outings.

Switzerland plays in pre-tournament games Dec. 20 against the United States and Dec. 22 against Sweden. They open the World Junior Hockey Championship tournament on Christmas Day against Slovakia.
