The Chilliwack Jets made a minor trade Monday, sending a defenceman to Saskatchewan.

The junior B club dealt 2002-born blueliner Brett Krueger to the Regina Silver Foxes of the Prairie Junior Hockey League (PJHL) in return for future considerations.

Krueger is a Saskatchewan kid, with Balgonie listed as his hometown.

The 18 year old played all six games for the Jets (1-4-1) before COVID restrictions forced the Pacific Junior Hockey League into a hiatus. He collected one assist and four penalty minutes.

With Krueger’s departure, following the arrival of Blake Bryce a couple weeks ago, the Jets have seven defencemen on the roster.

Bryce is joined by Campbell Ens, Andrew Berkelaar, Carter Anderson, Michael Cecchi, Lyndon Schroeder and Ty Woodard.

Chilliwack and the rest of the PJHL is waiting for provincial health orders to be lifted before they can return to game action.
