PHOTOS: Agassiz gets scientific

Science World On The Road makes a local stop

The weather in Agassiz was sunny with a chance of clouds – indoors – on Friday (March 22).

Dozens of local kids gathered for Science World On the Road when they visited the Community Recreation and Cultural Centre (CRCC) last week. The hour-long demonstration consisted of hands-on experiments explaining weather, the atmosphere and the water cycle.

Science World’s On The Road program travels to communities across the province to bring dynamic, live demonstrations and activities to students who might not otherwise be able to visit the Vancouver museum.

““Science World believes every school, teacher, student, and family in BC needs access to vital resources and programming to prepare for a lifetime of wonder-seeking, critical thinking, and problem-solving in a future powered by STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & design, and math),” the organization said.

The Agassiz Friends of the Library organized this spring break event.
