PHOTOS: Families flock to nature festival at Chilliwack heron reserve

People can learn about wildlife and wetlands during free event at Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve

People had an up-close look at bugs, birds and beavers at an outdoor festival in Chilliwack on Friday.

The annual Family Nature Festival takes place at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve on March 22 and 23.

Attractions and activities include a touch table, pond life displays, guided tours, heron colony viewing, art classes, and more.

The free event runs from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on both days. The Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve is located at 5200 Sumas Prairie Rd. in Chilliwack. For more, go to chilliwackblueheron.com.
