Agassiz residents may have noticed some construction heading into town from Chilliwack this past week.
The District of Kent and Timbro Contracting are completing sewer upgrades by replacing the sanitary sewer main along Cheam Avenue from Evergreen Drive to Park Street. The project is expected to reach completion by the end of October.
Due to trench excavation, the two northernmost lanes will be closed between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and single-lane traffic will be maintained to access businesses in the area.
