We the staff of Lifeforce Proactive are heartbroken at the loss of our leader Dr. Ken Mikkelsen, but also at the impending loss of connection with so many of you in the Brookswood community. Ken was more than just a boss. He was a friend, a mentor and a business savvy man, with a big and generous heart. If affordability was ever of concern for a patient, Ken would always make it work. Client care was above all else. And when it came to community support, Ken was always there, whether it be participating in Brookswood Summerfest, collecting for the food bank or LAPS at Christmas, or sponsoring young athletes. It's no wonder after all Ken contributed within and beyond the clinic, that he was recognized with many awards one of which was Langley Reader's Choice Award for best Chiropractor. Ken inspired us and others on a daily basis.
We will miss Ken's sense of humour, his big laugh (he loved to laugh), air conditioning wars (he liked cold we liked our sweaters), his hidden stash of Purdy's, and the way he treated us like family.
We want you all to know how much you meant to Ken, the joy and purpose you brought to his life and how happy he was to serve you all these years. Brookswood has lost a legend, but the memories will remain. Rest in peace dear Ken.
