How sweet it is to drive safely during the holidays.

The Agassiz RCMP are hosting a “Candy Cane Checkstop” this year on Friday, Dec. 2, along Pioneer Avenue starting at 6 p.m. The event is a roadside checkstop to remind drivers of safe driving tips and prevent impaired driving throughout the holiday season. The Agassiz RCMP will be handing out ICBC “Drive Safe” postcards coloured by students from Kent Elementary, along with candy canes.

The Kent-Harrison Search and Rescue team and Agassiz Community Speed Watch volunteers will also be in attendance.

For more information, contact the Agassiz RCMP at 604-796-2211.
