Students from a Chilliwack school visited the Agassiz branch of the Royal Canadian Legion branch recently.

In honour of Remembrance Day, Dave Eidet, Paul Fredrickson and Frank Stover hosted students from Unity Christian School. The Legion members not only shared the memoriabilia on display at the Legion hall but some of the stories behind the veterans who have gone before us and who live among us.

The day included a photo in front of the mural of the HMCS Agassiz, a Flower-class corvette that ran escort missions during World War II. The mother-daughter team of Sandra and Emelie Meinen completed the mural in August.
