Agassiz is about to have a new space where dogs can just be dogs.
The District of Kent recently announced the future opening of Pixley Lane Off-leash Dog Park. Much like the name suggests, the park is to be located off of Pixley Lane with the Agassiz Community Gardens and the Agassiz Fire Department nearby and across the street from the Agassiz Bypass Trail.
The off-leash dog park is to be fully fenced with two access points and dog waste bags and receptacles available on site.

District officials project that the park is to open in early April.
Agassiz has one off-leash dog park adjacent to the Community Recreation and Cultural Centre.
The village of Harrison Hot Springs does not yet have an off-leash dog park. Village officials are currently assessing a second location option. According to a survey conducted by the village, more than 85 per cent of survey respondents supported the creation of an off-leash dog park.
