PHOTOS: Weaving wool the Salish way

Learning the tricks of the trade at the Agassiz-Harrison Museum

Frieda George and her daughter Roxanne hosted Saturday afternoon’s Salish Weaving Workshop at the Agassiz-Harrison Museum.

The focus of the workshop was on the use of traditional methods for weaving wool, but Frieda and her family are also renowned in the art of leatherwork, beading, and making cedar baskets.

The Agassiz-Harrison Museum has several fun events coming up in the near future. Visit www.agassizharrisonmuseum.org to see what’s happening.
