A pandemic is no reason to stop a school festival.
That’s what Harrison Hot Springs Elementary decided for this year’s Winter Festival. Instead of gathering for a school-wide performance, classes filmed their own songs, dances and plays and complied them together.
The video kicks off with a rendition of “Singing in the Rain” by the kindergarten students, followed by more song and dance from the Grade Ones, Twos, Threes and Fours.
The video also includes a musical interlude by HHSE secretary La Vern Klassen on the ukulele.
The intermediate students published their own video contribution to the Winter Festival — a dramatic version of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Snow Queen.
