Saturday night's Ken Whiteley concert ended on a sweet note in Harrison, when the blues performer invited Andy Hillhouse to the stage.
Hillhouse joined Whiteley and bassist Dinah D in a soulful version of the song, Golden. Hillhouse is the new director of the Harrison Festival Society, which presented the concert at Harrison Memorial Hall as part of their performance season. He is also an accomplished musician, best known as founder and manager of the Celtic funk band, Mad Pudding.
After a brief but enthusiastic round of applause, Whiteley and Dinah D returned to the stage for their encore. Next up for the Festival Society is a visit from Lorne Elliott, star of CBC's Madly Off in All Directions.
