Dear Editor,
Life keeps getting more expensive for everyday people across the country. but CEOs keep getting richer. Something’s not right.
It’s clear that corporations and the ultra rich are exploiting the affordability crisis and it’s unacceptable. Fossil fuel companies in particular are making record profits while people like us struggle to fuel our cars and heat our homes.
Meanwhile, solar power is the cheapest and fastest-growing source of electricity on earth.
Cheap, clean, renewable energy is the key to a better future. It’s time for our political leaders to act with courage to accelerate the transition away from volatile, expensive fossil fuels.
In 2024, we need better policies that enable us to access affordable renewable energy and rapidly phase out fossil fuels. I hope political leaders at all levels of government will deliver.
