As local country artist Todd Richard gears up for another big event next month, he made a special announcement this past Friday.

Richard announced special guest Vancouver-based rock band Brass Camel as the headliner for the upcoming Follow Your Heart Benefit Concert on Saturday, Feb. 17.

Led by frontman Daniel Sveinson, Brass Camel formed in 2018. The band’s work spans a variety of rock genres, including progressive, alternative, art and classic rock. Brass Camel usually consists of Sveinson, bassist Curtis Arsenault, drummer Wyatt Gilson and a number of guest musicians.

Brass Camel’s debut LP, “Brass,” dropped last year.

Gord Maxwell, the bassist for the band Chilliwack, has already been booked to perform.
