Harrison Festival of the Arts tickets now on sale

Lineup revealed for one of summer’s biggest local events

It’s back!

Tickets for the iconic Harrison Festival of the Arts are now on sale as the Harrison Festival Society has revealed the lineup for this year’s 10-day extravaganza.

The event kicks off on Friday, July 7, with a screening of the 2021 documentary “Summer of Soul,” a tribute to the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. This year’s musical lineup features a potpourri of musical genres and styles, including soul, blues, funk, Celtic, Mexican and Italian music.

Memorial Hall’s schedule is full for the Festival. The lineup for ticketed evening Memorial Hall concerts is as follows:

Artists performing ungated concerts on the shores of Harrison Lake are the following:

Alex Kustorok (July 8)

Namgar (July 12)

Angelique Frances (July 13 and 14)

Rum Ragged (July 14 and 15)

Wesli (July 15)

There are non-musical offerings, as is tradition. Festival-goers can enjoy an evening of spoken word on Monday (July 10) courtesy of the Vancouver Poetry House, Sylvia Roussel-Janssens’ art exhibit “Mend,” outdoor installations from artist Aly Schwann. The following evening on Tuesday (July 10) features the song and comedy styling of The Myrtle Sisters.

Children’s Day returns again his year, featuring the return of Wil’s Jams, Middle Eastern ensemble Al Qawha and the Vancouver Puppet Theatre in addition to arts and crafts and other activities.
