Abbotsford police look for witnesses, video after ‘suspicious’ death

Investigators with the Abbotsford Police Department are looking for witnesses and video following the “suspicious” death of a 63-year-old man earlier this month, police said.

“The decedent was transported to hospital on April 9 after being observed to seemingly be in medical distress in the Sunnyside Street/Old Yale Road area of Abbotsford,” Const. Art Stele stated in a press release on April 19.

The police department’s Major Crime Unit is in the preliminary stages of the investigation and they are now looking for people who were in the area on Tuesday, April 9 between 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and may have information or dashcam footage.

Police are not commenting about the facts of this case at this time.
