Smoke may be rising from Hot Springs Road this weekend, but it’s likely no cause for alarm.

The Agassiz and Harrison Hot Springs fire departments will conduct live fire training at 712 Hot Springs Road (near the intersection of Hot Springs Road and Alder Avenue.

According to a public notice, the live fire training will consist of causing mock building fire conditions in which firefighters can enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities. As such, smoke and the presence of emergency personnel may cause some traffic issues when traveling through the area. Please use extra caution traveling in and out of the village on Saturday.
