The Kent-Harrison Foundation is now accepting grant applications for local charities and non-profits.
Applications are being accepted in a number of categories, including arts and culture, family and youth, education, recreational and environment, health and welfare and seniors.
A total of $5,100 in grants were distributed last year to three recipients:
Harrison Festival Society ($2,000)
Agassiz-Harrison Historical Society ($2,000)
Agassiz-Harrison Aquanauts Club ($1,100)
The Kent-Harrison foundation was founded in 1994 as a collection of funds forming a permanent endowment for charitable purposes.
The deadline for submission is Oct. 31. All grant applications must contain four copies. For more information and to find out ways you can help, visit kentharrisonfoundation.com.
