Harrison River Valley is anticipating tourist numbers to be similar, if not higher, than last year’s, with many activities and events in store.

All of the great attractions of Harrison River Valley everyone enjoyed last summer are coming back for 2022, plus more.

Along with all the returning activities is the addition of e-bikes becoming available to rent.

“It’s a great opportunity to get to know our outdoor spaces and get some fresh air,” said Stephanie Gallamore, event and marketing manager of Tourism Harrison River Valley.

Visitor numbers in Agassiz-Harrison are already increasing compared to this time last year. The hope is to see some of the regular American and European travelers and many new faces, Gallamore said.

For returning visitors, the familiar attractions will be back and enjoyable for all as soon as the summer season rolls around. That includes being able to participate in the dragon boat regatta in July where participants will get the opportunity to race against each other. There will be three divisions so that all can enjoy — women’s only, mixed and juniors.

Another returning attraction that proved popular last year will be the Agassiz Farm Fresh Market. The market will be open every Thursday night for the summer and will serve up local, farm-fresh products.

Mid-July will have the Harrison Summer Festival of the Arts, which will be a fun event for all ages.

July and August are expected to be the busiest months for the Harrison River Valley, a repeat of last year.
