A portion of Ashwell Road in Chilliwack was closed to traffic following a collision Saturday morning.

The crash happened sometime around 1 a.m. where a pickup truck collided with a hydro pole, ripping it in half on April 20.

By 8:30 a.m., road closure signs were still set up on Ashwell Road, between Lazenby Road and Bernard Avenue, and a detour was in place.

Power was out to 13 BC Hydro customers.

According to a worker on scene, that section of the road was estimated to be closed for most of the day.
