Abbotsford campus hosts Untying the Knots: Where Personal Action Creates Systemic Change

To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, the University of the Fraser Valley hosted an afternoon with impactful women in the community who shared their stories and facilitated discussion.

B.C. provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry was in attendance. Family physician and professional speaker Dr. Shahana Alibhai was on the panel, as well as UFV graduate Eryn Braley and current student Ray Kelly.

Braley was the recipient of the 2023 UFV Young Distinguished Alumni Award. Kelly is the current president of UFV Pride Collective.

Open to students and the public, the event was part of UFV’s president’s leadership lecture series that intends to bring inspirational leaders to the community.
