Griffin Security guard assaulted in downtown Chilliwack

The perpetrator is set for a court appearance at a later date

A dispute in the downtown area resulted in a Griffin Security guard being assaulted over the weekend.

Chilliwack RCMP responded to a call around 10 p.m., Sunday evening (May 5), downtown where the report states Griffin Security guards asked a lone male to leave the premises.

The report states he became aggressive when asked to vacate which led to one of the guards being assaulted.

Police were able to obtain the identity of the individual before he was located nearby and arrested.

The unnamed perpetrator was held in police custody and is expected to appear in court at a later date.
