A two-vehicle collision on the Lougheed Highway on Friday night resulted in only minor injuries for one driver.
Highway traffic near the intersection of Highways 7 and 9 slowed significantly after a crash at 9 p.m. blocked both sides of the road. According to Agassiz RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Mike Sargent, a westbound vehcile hit a snowdrift, which caused it to go into the eastbound lane and collide with another vehicle. The driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Chilliwack Hospital after suffering minor injuries.
“Police are reminding drivers to be aware of ever-changing road conditions due to the snow and heavy winds,” Sargent stated.
