Two new transit shelters are on their way to Agassiz.
The District of Kent recently announced a partnership with B.C. Transit as they construct two new transit shelters.
The shelters will be at 7284 Morrow Road outside of Dogwood Manor and at 7020 Pioneer Avenue outside of Len Davidiuk Tax Services.
Earlier this spring, B.C. Transit representatives visited councils in the eastern Fraser Valley – including Agassiz-Harrison – to outline other future goals for routes across the area. For Agassiz-Harrison, this includes adding a new transit bus and 600 transit hours in an effort to introduce service on Sundays and statutory holidays. Within the next three to five years, the goal is to extend weekend service hours and to add an entirely new route to travel from MIssion to Agassiz along the Lougheed Highway.
