When it comes to agriculture – and many areas of life – safety comes first.
AgSafe is hosting Progressive Agriculture Safety Day on Wednesday, Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Agassiz Agricultural Hall (6800 Pioneer Avenue).
The fun-filled day is for youth ages 8 to 12 featuring a number of interactive learning activities, including how to handle animals safely, disability awareness and understanding, bicycle safety, farm equipment safety and more.
Each participant will get a free lunch, t-shirt and take-home goody bag.
Based in Langley, AgSafe is a non-profit health and safety association for agriculture producers across the province in an effort to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses and death.
Spaces are limited. To claim yours, visit www.agsafebc.ca/safety-days.
