Rockwell Drive may be closed to traffic, based on current water level projections.

The District of Kent is notifying residents living north of Lillooet Avenue along Rockwell that there is potential for a road closure by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure due to rising water levels on Harrison Lake.

MOTI indicates that if the lake reaches 12.3 metres, the road may be subject to full closure. As of Thursday morning, Harrison Lake is at about 12 metres and may reach 12.3 metres by Monday, July 4. This would also close the road to emergency vehicle access.

District officials are monitoring water levels every day and will continue to do so. Residents along Rockwell are asked to prepare for evacuation.
