This weekend is another busy one at the Chilliwack Coliseum, with two Chiefs home games.

First they’ll face off against the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. The two teams met last on Feb. 19 in Chilliwack, with the Chiefs shutting out the Capitals 3-0.

Friday is also Special Olympics Night, and the Chilliwack Special Olympics floor hockey team will drop the puck, and Cameron Hull will sing the anthem.

Then on Saturday, March 2, the Chiefs will face off against the Alberni Valley Bulldogs at 6 p.m.

This will be a big game for the Coastal Conference standings. As of the Thursday, Feb. 29, just two points were separating the second-place Chiefs and the third-place Bulldogs.

The last time the two teams met, Dec. 15, the Chiefs won 6-4 at the Coliseum.

Saturday will also be a night to celebrate local minor soccer. All youth wearing their Chilliwack FC or Tzeachten FC jerseys or team kit will be given free admission into the game.

Dropping the puck on Saturday will be Chilliwack FC’s Technical Director Vaggeli Boucas and Chief Derek Epp from Tzeachten FC. Michelle Hammel will then sing O Canada.

During the first intermission, the Chiefs will be hosting a soccer shoot-out game with members of both clubs.
