Both Agassiz and Harrison polling stations saw a steady flow of voters today, with chief election officers from both municipalities remarking that their polls were seeing a great turnout.

“It’s very steady, it has been since eight o clock when we opened the doors,” said District of Kent chief election officer Bev Kennedy. “We’re on pace to do as well as last year or even better.”

Harrison is speeding up the counting process this year by using an electronic voting machine for the first time.

Chief election officer Barbara Tenbos said it should speed up the process.

Polls are open in both municipalities until 8 p.m. tonight.
