Coquihalla dusted with snow

Environment Canada forecasts more flurries throughout the day

The first day of Spring is right around the corner but it certainly isn’t here yet.

Snow is falling on the Coquihalla, Monday.

According to Environment Canada, 2 cm of snow could fall between Hope and Merritt at the 500-metre level on the mountain pass.

DriveBC is also reminded motorists that the left lane is closed in both directions for a vehicle recovery at Bottletop Bridge, Coldwater River.

Drivers are reporting blizzard-like conditions on Highway 5, motorists are reminded to slow down and check drivebc.ca before heading out on the roads.

Flurries will continue overnight bringing another 2 cm of snow as well as fog patches.

Light flurries are expected to continue on Tuesday morning, turning to rain in the afternoon.
