District of Kent officials released a few more details concerning the upcoming celebration to thank the community members for doing their part to keep each other safe from COVID-19.

District officials are now calling the celebration “Let’s Connect Kent,” and it will take place on Saturday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Pioneer Park in Agassiz.

During the March 14 meeting of the district council, councillors unanimously agreed on a celebration of appreciation for the community safety efforts. About 85 per cent of adults aged 18 and older in Agassiz-Harrison have received at least two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
