Drone captures epic hockey game

The recent cold snap allowed for a perfect outdoor B.C. hockey game.

An iconic Canadian moment — playing hockey on a frozen lake.

However nothing looked so idyllic than that of the drone footage captured by Cole Cook on Whonnock Lake, in Maple Ridge.

A recent cold snap in the Lower Mainland allowed the water to freeze and create a pristine surface to skate on.

The lake appears smooth as glass and crystal clear, creating the perfect setting for Cook’s video that has taken social media by storm.

Cook’s video has now been shared across the globe after being picked up by the BBC — it also has more than 33,000 views on YouTube.
