Lions renew financial commitment to the First Agassiz Scouts.

The Lions renewed their financial commitment to the First Agassiz Scouts. The Lions agreed to help get the troop started many years ago and have not stopped aiding them. The Ag Hall where the troop meets at 7 p.m. on Tuesday nights is donated to the Scouts by the Hall itself.

According to Scoutmaster Chris Wilson, the troop uses the donation to help offset the cost of uniforms and camperships to assure no child is left behind. Presently, the troop has about 20 regular scouts in several levels – beavers, cubs, scouts, rangers and venturers – with ages ranging from 6 to 17 and up.

On hand to accept the cheque were leaders Kim Stanway and Chris Wilson along with Dad, Chad Hedrick. Lion Jean Robson handed the donation to Beaver Cole Hedrick and Scout Logan Stanway.
