Man airlifted to hospital after accident on Morris Valley Road

A young man was airlifted to hospital Thursday morning after his vehicle struck a pole and tumbled 70 metres along Morris Valley Road.

At 6:23 a.m. Agassiz RCMP, ambulance and fire responded to reports that a serious accident had occurred in the Morris Valley Road area near Chehalis Road.

Police dogs were deployed to search for any other ejected occupants but the single-vehicle accident only involved one man. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and is believed to be in serious condition.

Agassiz RCMP believe speed was a factor, but the scene is still under investigation.
