UPDATED: Seniors found dead in Vancouver home

Police call the deaths ‘suspicious,’ but do not believe public is at risk

Vancouver police are investigating two seniors found dead in their home.

In a statement Tuesday, police said a 77-year-old-woman and 79-year-old man were discovered in their residence near Granville Street and West 5 Avenue just before 5 p.m. the day before.

Based on information collected by investigators, “it appears this couple died together in their apartment,” police said, and that it’s believed no one else was involved in the incident.

They are not releasing further information at this time.
