Time to provide feedback on SD78 school calendar

Fraser Cascade school district staff finalizing draft calendar for 2020/21

Next school year is already being planned, and it’s time to provide feedback to the school district.

The Fraser Cascade District has posted two calendars, one for Boston Bar and one for the rest of the schools.

The draft calendars are available to view on the school district’s website, sd78.bc.ca, and feedback is being accepted until Feb. 28. They were created after consultations with all partner groups, ensuring that required hours of instruction are met.

School in the fall will begin on Sept. 8 this year, as Labour Day is late. Winter break will run begin Dec. 21 and school will return to session on Jan. 4.

Spring break will begin on March 15 and end March 26. The final day of school will be June 24. There will be seven non-instructional days. Boston Bar’s calendar varies, running a four-day week most of the school year.

Those with feedback are asked to email the superintendent at karen.nelson@sd78.bc.ca.
