Drive B.C. has lifted a travel advisory for Rockwell Drive north of Harrison Hot Springs.
This means travel is no longer restricted to just light vehicle traffic. According to the B.C. River Forecast Centre, the Fraser River remains under a high streamflow advisory, which could cause minor flooding in low-lying areas. Harrison Lake was under flood watch and was expected to reach its peak on Friday (July 2) and Saturday (July 3).
The District of Kent advises the public to stay clear of fast-moving waters and unstable banks especially during the high stream flow period.
Affected property owners may be notified of an evacuation alert. If you receive one, you are asked to prepare to evacuate if the situation deteriorates or an evacuation order is issued.
