In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deleon Phillips. He passed away at home peacefully on November 14th, 2022 in Chilliwack, B.C., one month short of 90 years. Leon was born December 12th, 1932 in Kamsack, Saskatchewan.
Leon had a great passion for all things outdoors. You could find him most days puttering around the yard, whistling a tune. After moving to Chilliwack in 1945 you could find him most evenings playing basketball with the team Chilliwack Aggies.
Later he enjoyed curling and was quite the horseshoe player, travelling to various towns competing in tournaments with his wife Keitha.
During camping and fishing trips with friends and family at various lakes in our area, he often dazzled them with his talent of playing harmonica while sitting around the campfire.
Leon is survived by his wife Keitha; sons Ray (Barb), and Larry (Carla); daughter Diane (Michael); grandkids Kyle, Stacey, Ashley, Kelsey, Allan, Kevan (Caitlin), Colin and great-grandchildren Keyjuan, Bryson and Aiden.
He was predeceased by sister Iris Frankin and brothers Fletcher Phillips and Cleveland Phillips.
There will be no service by request of Leon.
