July 2, 1937 - February 1, 2022
In loving memory and celebration of a man who truly made this world a brighter and better place to be, Douglas Ernest Brunner passed away peacefully in the arms of his wife of 64 years, Dorthea Margaretrose (Rutley) February 1st, 2022 in Langley, BC.
Born July 2nd, 1937, in Grand Forks, BC, Doug was an avid-adventurer and outdoorsman with a pioneering spirit. Quick witted and wise in all manner of interesting subjects, teller of great tales and possessor of the warmest, hearty chuckle - Doug was devoted to his family, teaching them with kindness and patience to love life and the great outdoors.
Truly a jack of all trades and master of many, Doug's greatest legacy will be the knowledge he passed on and values he instilled in his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Predeceased by his parents and three sisters, Doug is survived by his three brothers, his wife (Margaretrose), three daughters, Diana (Stewart), Simone and Coleen (Norm), his nine granddaughters, two grandsons, seven great granddaughters and four great grandsons.
He will be dearly missed by all that knew him and his memory will live on in all those he loved.
We would like to thank Dr. Markey and Dr. Wolff for their empathy, care and guidance throughout this part of our journey.
Doug is onto his next adventure.
Big shoes to fill.
