Elmer was born on September 9, 1935, in Hague, Saskatchewan. He died in 100 Mile House, British Columbia, on July 7, 2022.
Elmer is predeceased by his father, John Guenther, and his mother Katharine Guenther (nee Sawatsky). He is survived by his wife, Martha, son, Brian (Tanya), and granddaughter, Morgan. He is also survived by extended family including sisters Pauline Harms (Don Bures) and Jeannie Guenther, step-mother Hilda Guenther, and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Elmer lived in many places throughout BC including Lake Cowichan, Yarrow, 100 Mile House, Pinantan Lake, and Cache Creek. He loved animals and was active in ranching, raising sheep and cattle for many of his years.
With much sadness and love in our hearts, we say farewell to Elmer as he departs to a much better place. We can truly say his life was well lived and he will be greatly missed.
