Muriel Reta Morrow, a long time resident of Agassiz, passed away July 27 2022. Mom had spend her last years living at Agassiz Senior Community and recently moved to Glenwood.
Reta was born on March 29, 1929 in Rivers Manitoba, the only daughter of Jack & Ruby Dyer, along with 5 brothers, Earl, Orville, Spud (Melvin), Fernie & Willis. The Dyer family moved to Gilbert Plains in 1940, in 1945 the family moved to Agassiz, purchasing the Bella Vista hotel. In 1947 Reta married James Gilbert Morrow (Darcy & Lillian Morrow). In 1950 they purchased the family home on Morrow road where they raised their 5 children and owned Morrow's Trucking and Ready Mix. After Jim passed away (1999) Reta moved to Elm road, then into Cheam Village.
Reta was an avid golfer for many years, as she aged she became more involved with the Agassiz senior activities, including Bridge & Floor curling. Mom loved camping and family gatherings.
Reta's was predeceased by her Husband Jim, her parents, brothers and their wives, and grandson Blake Andrew Vandale. Reta is survived by her children Joy (Dan)Borton of Campbell River, Hope (Bruce)Vandale, Vernon (Millie) Morrow, Gay (Daryl) Hedrick & Tim (Maria) Morrow all of Agassiz. She will be sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Reta touched many lives and will be greatly missed by her Family and Friends.
